This experience gives you a unique opportunity to get to know the traditional way of living and cooking.
First, you will be welcomed with a homemade sweet and local liqueur. Then, the tour of the garden begins, where you pick all the vegetables you need for your cooking.
Then, Anna talks to you about every tree, vegetable, plant in general and what care is needed!
After that you return to the tavern, wash the vegetables and start cooking outdoors. You will make 2 or 3 different dishes.
Once you have finished cooking and while it is being cooked, you go for a walk on the river following the walking route 6 for a few minutes.
There is a small tour of the area and then you return and start eating. On the table, you bring out the dishes you have cooked yourself, salad, appetizers, and Naxos cheeses as well as wine!
Bon appetit!

We were so lucky to experience Anna’s wonderful cooking class. Anna and her mother were so well organised and the food and wine were delicious. It was special to pick the produce and cook it in such a warm, authentic environment as well as explore and learn the history of the village of Potamia. The evening ended with Greek dancing.. thank you Anna for a fabulous experience.
We found Anna and her family farm and taverna in Potamia amidst a beautiful setting in a valley. Their garden contained vegetables and fruit trees. We had a tour of the garden and picked all of the vegetables and herbs we needed for our dinner. After that back to the kitchen to wash the vegetables and prepare our dinner. While dinner was cooking we toured a historical tower in the valley, and then back to eat!!! What a feast, partly prepared by Anna’s Mom and the rest by us. Everything was well organized and we learned by doing the prep. Anna is a wonderful person whose generous personality guides is through the cooking process easily. Anna we enjoyed our time together very much.
At the little village of Potamia we were invited in the yard of a house where we were welcomed and treated like family. After collecting the ingredients from their own garden we prepared some Greek dishes with the guidance of Mrs. Anna. Then we all enjoyed our lunch in the beautiful garden.
