Then, marvel at two imposing Kouros statues - examples of ancient sculpture. Continue to Eggares citrus valley, described in poetic terms by nine-time Nobel prize nominee, Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis, as "If paradise was on earth, it would be here".
A guided tour of an old olive press with a stone mill follows, before getting behind the scenes with tasting samples of delicious cheeses, vegetables, and homegrown wines and raki in a local farm.
Depending on the season, you may even witness cheese in the making!
